COSCO Shipbuilding IPO Push: 216-Vessel Orderbook Meets China’s Newbuilding Boom
COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry has entered the formal pre-IPO counselling process for a planned A-share listing as China’s shipyards dominate global newbuilding orders. The group ended 2025 with 216 vessels in its orderbook, while Chinese yards captured 76% of global new orders by CGT in the first eight months of 2026.
