Asia port congestion 2026 is becoming a network-wide container shipping problem. Shanghai schedule reliability fell to 21% in July, while Ningbo, Singapore, Port Klang and Busan also deteriorated. Global reliability dropped to 56.4% and late ships arrived an average 6.06 days behind schedule. The commercial risk is no longer one congested port: repeated delay is absorbing effective vessel capacity and pushing disruption through global liner networks.
